DICKIE, Kathleen (nee McCrudden) 1910 - 2009 The family of Kathleen Dickie sadly announces the death of their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at Forest Grove Care Center in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, November 12th. Born and raised in Montreal, Kay moved to Calgary, at the age of eighty, to be closer to immediate family. The eldest of eight children born to John and Hellen McCrudden, Kathleen remained close to all her siblings and their families throughout her life. The birth of her two great-grandchildren in 2005 and 2006 were special events that brought her great joy. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Judy Dickie, grandchildren, Kimberley (Grant) MacEachern and Craig (Tracy) Dickie and great-grandchildren, Alexis and Sean Dickie, all of Calgary; sisters, Geraldine Sheridan of Oakville, Ontario and Hazel Gareau of Montreal, Quebec; sister-in-law, Olivia McCrudden of St Eustache, Quebec as well as by numerous nieces and nephews who held Auntie Kay in high regard. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1981, and by her elder son, William Ross, in 1986. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Mount Royal Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with Kay's family at the home of Linda and John DiDomenico (3461 rue Isabelle, Laval) on Saturday, November 28th, 2009 from 2 to 5 p.m. Condolences can be forwarded to the family through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . The family requests that those wishing to pay tribute to Kay do so by making a donation in her name to the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, Alberta T3B 6A8, The Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Ave. W., Suite 1200, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1K8, or to a charity of their choice. In living memory of Kathleen Dickie, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park, Calgary, Alberta by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes. Additional services in Montreal provided by J.J.
