Obituary - Percy Steeves

The death occurred Tuesday, Aug.22nd, at his home, Berry Mills, of Percy Steeves, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aram Steeves. Although he had been in failing health for some time, his death came as a great shock to his many friends. Mr. Steeves was 40 years of age and practically a lifelong resident at Berry's Mills, but was well known in other parts of the province, where by his kindly manner and upright character he made a host of friends, who will learn of his death with keen regret. He is survived by hs father and mother, five sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. Fred Shaffer, Mrs. David Appleby and Emma at home; Mrs. Smeaton, Mrs. Bishop, of the west, all being present except the brother, Fred who is also in the west. The service was conducted at the house and grave by our pastor, Rev. Mr. Dimmock. The hymns sung were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus", "Some time We'll Underatand" and We'll Never Say Good Bye in Heaven". The remains were laid to rest in the Berry's Mills cemetery. Much sympathy is felt by the bereaved family
