Title: Fear Bank Clerk Is Drowned at Kaslo

Nelson, B.C., Sept. 10 - His boat floating bottom side up on Kootenay Lake, near Kaslo, with his folded coat tucked under a seat, and the oars a mile further on, were startling information of the fears of a search party that set out from Kaslo Sunday morning to look for Roy Strickland, teller in the Bank of Montreal. Strickland, aged 20, was fishing in his sailboat when a violent storm swept the lake Saturday afternoon. The young man was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Strickland of Enderby.
